Beautiful Cupcake Soaps and Cake Slice Soaps

I recently brought a beautiful teaset  i just love the colours, beautiful baby pinks and blues so dainty, it inspired me to make this next batch of cupcakes and slices, scented with  mango's and peaches yum!!

They smell amazing, the base for the cake slice is hot batched soap,  the fragrance seems to last better in hot process soap so i imagine this will still smell amazing for many months yet.

Disaster strikes

I had an awful time cutting my honey layer cake, i let it get to hard before i cut it up and instead of it slicing smooth and easily it was hard and brittle and crumbled,all because  i changed my recipe and added extra cocoa butter, i think it was to much though, i managed to revive the cake and re frosted the individual pieces and they ended up looking lovely so all was ok in the end, this layer cake smell dreamy and it such a beautiful soap, it has a beautiful rich creamy lather and leaves your skin feeling like silk i even used real manuka honey so it will have all the benefits of this lovely honey.

Next i made cupcakes i changed my recipe there too, they piped on like a dream, the frosting turned out smooth and perfect it feels and smells so wonderful on your skin, if you love chocolate you will love the peppermint chocolate cupcakes they make me hungry just looking at them.

The Cranberry Fig soap cupcakes are Divine, piped with baby pink frosting and finished with an elegant rose and a sprinkling of glitter these would make fantastic gifts, i just love the fragrance its very delicate.

Just finished making this felt sandwich,it took awhile, I'm also in the middle of finishing eggs, bacon bagel and pancake breakfast, just putting on the finishing touches now.

Faceless Felt Gingerbread men

These are some more of my felt cupcakes and cakes all ready to be packaged for sale, this time i made my cupcakes slightly different, they are a little bigger than the cupcakes i usually make and they have swirled icing on top, i think they turned out well.

I love my little cream cake it reminds me of a layer on a wedding cake, it took ages to sew but i am glad i did, it measures  88 x 45 mm so it's still a good size, not to big and not to small, it's just right.

I also made the tiniest cupcake, it measures 30x30mm, not sure what i will do with it yet, maybe I'll add it to my collection of all things cupcake.

I still haven't put faces on my gingerbread men, as soon as you put a face on them they seem to develop little personalities and take on a life of their own, each time i make them i think of the story of the little gingerbread man,chanting run run as fast as you can you cant catch me I'm the gingerbread man, that story always made me sad when i was a kid, i always felt sorry for the poor gingerbread man, i think that's why i always make their faces at the last minute, so that way i don't have to see them sitting there staring at me just waiting to run away.

I also made another donut, these sell faster than i can make them, i have another market stall this weekend at Rototuna so i am hoping to have finished sewing a few more by then.

I have been busy making pies made from cold process soaps, they smell amazing, the lemon meringue was a best seller for me last time i made it, it sold out straight away, so this time i made extra pies, a tangy hot apple pie, and a heavenly blueberry pie, Delicious.

I have also been busy making whole soap cakes, i am so please with the way my latest cake turned out, i used olive oil, Castor oil, vitamin e oil, coconut oil, palm oil and heaps of cocoa butter, its a yummy honey cake, made with real manuka honey , it's two delicious layers of honey cake  filled with fruity raspberry filling, this cake smells like it's edible,at the moment it is uniced i am going to ice it with beautiful white frosting, then drizzle it with honey soap, i am hoping it will look lovely I'll keep you posted.

These are the little sweeps a girl and a boy they are the noisy ones always making little noises that sound like sweep off the sooty and sweep show

10 days ago Poppy and Louie became a mum and dad, they had 5 beautiful little babies, when we took Poppy to the vets the vet did a scan and told us we could expect 3 puppies, instead we have 5, poor Little poppy shes so small herself now she has 5 babies.

Mr Lou still isn't allowed anywhere near the babies at all, if she hears him in the hallway she will growl and bark at him through the door, and then when she comes out later she nips him on the face for it, shes so mean, all he wants to do is his his little babies.

The puppies are so cute their little noses are turning from pink to black and it wont be long before their little eyes open,( then poppy will have her job cut out for her), we are going to have a hard time letting go of the puppies when it comes time to finding them loving homes, i promised myself i wont get to attached, but how can you not.

Little Felt Cakes and Cookies

These are some of the felt playfood that i have been sewing, it seems no matter how much i sew i just cant seem to build up my supplies, no sooner than i have finished sewing out the door they go, i sold out again at last Saturdays market at Tamahere and so for the next few weeks i will be sewing non stop to stock up my felt foods again, still i cant complain the same buyers keep coming back and they are telling all their friends and now they come and buy too, so i must be doing something right.
